SkyRanger Construction
Construction is a clean and enjoyable process. Building the aircraft
yourself has the advantage of giving you an intimate knowledge of every
aspect of the structure and enables you to conduct checks and
maintenance with a deeper level of understanding of your aircraft. Allow
200-300 hours labour time to construct the kit.
All tubes and components come pre-drilled with the nuts, cables,
brackets, etc already in place. All control surfaces come with Dacron
covering fitted and tensioned. The fibreglass cowlings, canopy and doors
need to be cut out and trimmed by the builder as there are slight
differences in assembly with the various engine options.
The SkyRanger undercarriage is strong - 18mm high tensile aluminium and is fitted with
powerful disk brakes.
The builder must install the engine and its controls, as well as fitting
the wiring and instruments of his/her choice into the instrument panel
supplied with the kit.
